Quick construction history.

The chalet is very recent. Delivered in May 2016, it took less than one year for its construction, which began on June 28, 2015.

Apart from the concrete basement, the whole chalet is made of wood : framework and carpentry in larch, "walls" in OSB panels (Oriented Strand Board). They are made of thin, long and oriented wooden slats (3 crossed layers) and have excellent thermal and sound insulation qualities. 
The constructor, Bayrou Chalets, renowned for more than a century, came from the Hautes-Alpes. They build in all the French and Swiss Alps.
