Recently built and carefully decorated, the chalet combines mountain tradition — built entirely of larch, with exposed beams and a fireplace — with the modern touch of wide windows opening onto the Aravis range, the Aiguilles de Warens and the Fiz mountains.
Set in a very quiet hamlet in the hills above Combloux, the 200 m² chalet sleeps 8 to 10 guests. It features a vast living area arranged in 3 spaces (lounge, dining room, open kitchen with a bar), 5 Savoyard-style bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

How many guests can La Gélinotte accommodate?

Where exactly is the chalet?
The chalet is in a quiet hamlet in the hills above Combloux, Haute-Savoie, 5 km from the centre of Megève and 2 minutes from the La Princesse – Mont d'Arbois lifts. The exact address is provided upon booking.
How much does it cost to rent the chalet?
The chalet is rented by the week, from €1,800 in the off-season to €5,600 for New Year's week. The price includes all utilities, tourist tax and VAT.
What is included in the rental price?
Included: a personal welcome, bed, bath and kitchen linen, beds made up on arrival, cleaning before and after your stay plus 2 × 2 hours during the week, a small welcome grocery basket, toiletries, as well as water, electricity, gas, firewood, Wi-Fi, tourist tax and VAT.
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not allowed at La Gélinotte, because of possible allergies among subsequent guests. The chalet is also entirely non-smoking.
How do I get to the chalet from Geneva or Lyon?
By car, allow less than an hour from Geneva (60 km) and less than two hours from Lyon (200 km), via the Alpine motorways to Sallanches, then a 15 to 20-minute drive up. By train, Sallanches station is 10 km away (20 minutes) and Albertville station 40 km away (45 minutes), both with car rental agencies.
Is the chalet close to the ski slopes?
Yes. The La Princesse – Mont d'Arbois lifts are a 2-minute drive away, and you can ski back to the chalet when snow conditions allow. The Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area offers 445 km of slopes and 110 lifts.
